The Products can be categorized based on their purpose and usability
The Products can be classified as Regular, Bill of Material, Kit, and Matrix
The next level of identification is the Type - Stock, Serial, Auto serial, and Service
The other settings of the Products are Consumable, Not for Sale, Allow Force Sale, and Batch Tracking
Menu Path: Products > Masters > Products >Product List > Menu > New
Enter the Product Code and Product Short Description
Select Category, Classification, Type, and Stock UOM
Sales Tab: You can define sales pricing unit of measure (UOM) that can be used when a product item's pricing is based on a different unit of measure than its inventory unit of measure
Purchases Tab: You can define the unit of measure and price in which a vendor requires you to purchase the product
Other Important Fields to include
Internal Part Number: An internal Part Number refers to a unique identifier assigned to a specific part or product within an organization's internal inventory or cataloging system
Manufacturer and Brand: Providing the manufacturer, Brand code, and description serves the purpose of information management, recording, and facilitating precise reporting within the system
Other Important Tabs available in Product Master
Restocking: Product Restocking can be set based on the requirement minimum quantity, maximum quantity, or Reorder point
Cost Tab: Set Accounting Group and view cost-related information
Accessories: To include add-ons to the products
Web Store: This is used to display the products on an e-commerce platform
Extended Data: Fields in the ERP that can be defined by the end user and used to capture data you define
